publish poetry

A vision to be in a place were time doesn’t matter,
that facing me lay nothing except a path to wander upon,
were I’d no longer need to co-exist along side time.
Were all things are achievable without the resonance of a
harassing
clock behind my shoulder.
In opposition, what decisions would I make if it weren’t
Inhabited by tomorrow?
Would the pressure of time hinder me to put things right?
Or in fact is time the essence of life and how
all things can be achieved?
Does each moment inside time imprison the core of my
being and all that follows?
Would my thoughts transcend into nothing if I had no time
to prevent my self from thinking?
Will time stand motionless if I stop moving and all before me
decides to seize, or will time persist with out the
acknowledgment that I’m no longer following?
The resolution to no longer follow time gives me space to
comprehend that this elusive emotion is indicating
tht I hve liberty to view everything within time from were time began.
To norelief13: what does free verse mean? p.s thanks for your advice!

It seems like good poetry to me - but please remember the ‘h’ in ‘where’.

Go to the library, check out the most recent copy of the writers’ market guide. Look up all of the poetry contests. You will qualify for some of the “youth” contests at your age, at least before you turn 18.
To publish poetry, you often need to produce an entire body of work. At least, that is true for books of poetry.
You need to check out and read as many poetry magazines as possible to get an idea of what they publish, then start submitting your poem.

Your poem is is free verse, which is another tough sell for an amateur. Plus, some of the images are too lofty such as “would my thoughts transcend into nothing if I had no time…” and “imprison the core of my being” Poetry editors will cringe at that. You have to SHOW it with word images rather than SAYING it with philosophical sounding verbiage.

For example: Instead of “imprison the core of my being” line, you might say something like this:
“My fingers seek glass edges of my prison, time encases life never forward, never back” or okay that sucks, but you get the idea.

Make you a web page, make it to where people can not copy anything, and start your following.
There are lots of people that read online.
Years ago I had a short story web page. I had lots of followers that would read them…I had web tv and it was easy to make web pages…now with a computer I do not know how to make web pages. Web tv may be a good way for you to make your web pages.

                    Stay away from poetry.com — it’s a huge scam.

Try alsopreview.com, although I warn you to wear your tough skin.
But if you want to improve that’s a good place to start.
